We are seeking individuals interested in the role of Service Technician. The Service Technician, under the direction of the Service Manager, will primarily be responsible for conducting diagnostic procedures to determine vehicle maintenance requirements and providing accurate repairs for our customers vehicles.
Job Qualifications:
- 310 S Licensed Service Technician
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Ability to lift heavy items and to stand for long periods of time
Job Requirements:
- Performs work as outlined on repair order with efficiency and accuracy, in accordance with dealership and factory standards
- Diagnoses cause of malfunctions and performs repair
- Communicates with parts department to obtain needed parts
- Communicates with service advisor immediately if additional work is needed, if work outlined is not needed, or if repairs cannot be completed within the promised time
- Documents all work performed and recommended on the repair order including diagnostic trouble codes and cause and correction
- Road tests vehicles when required and references job aid forms to qualify complaint
- Participates in manufacturer-sponsored training programs, schools, and events
- Reviewing manufacturer’s recall bulletins and ensuring that all steps are followed as per the guidelines set forth by the manufacturer
- Ensure that you are achieving all Xtime KPI’s as directed by the management team
Additional Responsibilities:
- Reviews warranty policy and adjustments with Warranty Administrator, understands and applies warranty guidelines, ensures correct processing of claims, and communicates warranty information and clarifications to customers.
- Reconcile warranty schedule weekly and receivables are current within 30 days.
- Develops dealership service and parts pricing plans and recommends suggestions to Fixed Operations Manager or general manager.
- Works with Parts and Fixed Operations managers to find ways to improve the overall profitability of the dealership.
- Other duties, as assigned.
