Job Summary
The Sales Consultant, under the direction of the Sales Manager, will primarily be responsible sell/lease new and used vehicles at dealership gross profit, volume, and customer satisfaction standards.
Job Duties
- Ensures proper follow up of all potential buyers utilizing the CRM as well as Upgrade System
- Makes an average of 40 outgoing calls per day to potential customers as well as follow ups with customers to ensure customer satisfaction
- Participates in daily sales workshops, “one to one” meeting with Sales Manager every week as well as a weekly combined sales meeting
- Ensures constant touch with customers who are allocated to the salesperson arising from appointments from internet and phone leads, customers in good position to purchase in the Upgrade System, customers who are in their database but not in the Upgrade System and inactive service database allocated to them by management
- Ensures CSI at above Zone, Region, National average
- Ensures 100% turnover of customers in the showroom the Sales Manager prior to their leaving the showroom
- Makes best efforts to ensure 100% turnover of each of their customer to F&I
- Follows up intensively on unsold customers to get them back in the showroom and sell them a vehicle
- Alerts sales management if feels dealership is at risk from fraudulent customers
- Maintains an appointment closing ratio of 50% for walk-in customers as well as those who came on appointments to purchase a vehicle
Expectations
- Wears proper professional attire as per Company Dress Code Policy
- Achieves monthly and annual goals and objectives for sales and gross
- Participates in all manufacturers as well as dealership-initiated training
- Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state, and local regulations that affect new and pre-owned vehicle sales
- Adheres to work schedules as defined by dealership management and ensures full attendance at work
- Ensures at the time of delivery of vehicle the setting up of next service appointment as well completion of all manufacturer requirements related to setting up the vehicle to connect with manufacturer remote systems as well as Rafih Rewards Program in case of used vehicle deliveries
- Reads, understands and follows all dealership policies and procedures
- Works with Business Managers to increase F&I gross and penetration
- Keeps self informed about incoming inventory, current advertising efforts, including special sales
- Meets and greets customers when they come in for service
- Attends weekly managers meetings hosted by the Sales Manager
- Ensures that no customer files or vehicle keys lie around in their work area that are accessible to public
Job Requirements
- 1+ years experience in automotive dealership sales
- Demonstrated knowledge of Sales Dealership processes and best practices
- Demonstrated and proven Business Acumen in keeping with dealership strategy
- Strong interpersonal skills, ability to communicate and manage well at all levels of the Organization
- Demonstrated ability to cultivate relationships
- High level of integrity and dependability with a strong sense of urgency and results
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Excel and computer applications
